The WA Team at BA Equipment Group are experienced in Sales, Service, Spare parts and hire with a combined knowledge base of over 30 years. This talented team are multi skilled and competent in many trades and the driving force for all your service requirements in WA. With many different personalities, we work and deliver as one.

Robert Lake

BRANCH MANAGER WA

Other than being an all-around top bloke, Robbie is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the WA Branch including a supporting role within the Capital Sales, Service, and Spares Departments.

Outside of work, Robbie is an avid Rugby fan and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. You might also find him at his children’s weekends sports events, cheering them on from the sidelines.

Andrew Sach

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WA

Day to day sales & hire of hydraulic attachments for mobile & fixed plant customers, consisting of OEM’s, Mining, Recycling, Earthworks, Construction & Demolition.

In his personal time, Andrew enjoys fishing, scuba diving, camping and rockhounding. 

Antony Latham

WA SERVICES MANAGER

Antony Latham is our WA Service Manager, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and market-leading support. With a passion for safety and a commitment to excellence, he inspires and develops high-performing teams.

Leveraging his strong background in maintenance management and leadership, Antony excels at optimizing fixed and mobile equipment performance, driving operational efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction.

When not leading our WA Service Team, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and is passionate about soccer.

QLD TEAM

The QLD Team at BA Equipment Group is diverse, motivated and experienced. Servicing the QLD, NT, PNG and Northern NSW markets, the majority of our valued Tradespeople and Spare Parts personnel have been employed at BA for over 7+ years, giving our customers the confidence that the BA Tradespeople working on their equipment and BA Spares personnel supplying parts are competent, professional and efficient

Ben Helmore

Branch Manager QLD, NT & PNG

Ben joined BA in 2014 as a qualified mechanical – hydraulic service technician. Ben proved himself both in the workshop and in the field to be a fast learner with excellent diagnostic and communication skills. Before long he was promoted to Leading Hand. In 2015 through hard work, a keen focus on servicing customers and being an all-around great Team player Ben progressed into the role of Service Manager.

Ben is your main point of contact for all field service and workshop repairs. In Ben’s spare time he enjoys tinkering with cars, camping with his family and friends.

Bevan Burow

SERVICE MANAGER QLD, NT & PNG

Bevan joined BA in 2019 as an experienced trades assistant. It wasn’t long after Bevan started when BA recognised Bevan’s mechanical aptitude and speed of learning which led the company to work with Bevan to help him formalise his skills through the completion of an adult apprenticeship and gain his formal trade qualifications. Bevan has been working in and around hydraulic hammers, attachments, and boom systems in the field and workshop. In 2022 due to continued growth within the service team, Bevan was successful in his application for Leading Hand role, where he further developed his troubleshooting, customer communication and leadership skills in this role.

Bevan took another step in his career at BA in May 2023 when he was successful in his application for the Service Manager role. Bevan has a can-do attitude, is always striving to find the best solution for our customers, loves to coach and develop our service team to deliver market leading service solutions for our valued customers. When Bevan is away from work, he enjoys spending time on his family sugar cane farm tinkering on his farm machinery.

Kris Guerin

National Inventory and Logistics Manager

Kris joined BA in 2015 as our spare parts co-ordinator. Kris brought with him over 15 years of warehousing and logistics experience gained from working in the mining and construction industries.

Since joining BA Kris has ensured our warehouse stock levels are maintained so that when a customer needs a hammer repair carried out or a tool – we have it in stock ready to go. Kris manages the largest range of hydraulic hammer and attachment spare parts / tools inventory in Australia and is always keen to serve our valued customers to help find the parts/tools they need.

Kris is your main point of contact for spare parts, tools and freight related matters. When away from work Kris likes to keep active with his family on their rural property.

Nathan Parziani

National Sales Manager

Nathan is an experienced attachments sales professional with over 10 years’ experience in the supply of hydraulic attachments. Nathan is responsible for managing new and used hydraulic attachment sales, assisting customers with product selection and product application support. Nathan enjoys talking about our market leading range of European built products and working with our customers to help improve their productivity.

Nathan is your main point of contact for new hydraulic attachments. When he is not at work or spending time with his family, Nathan’s down time is consumed by cycling, Ironman and Triathlons. He competed in the Australian Nationals in 2020 placing 13th.

VIC TEAM

The BA Equipment Group VIC team looking after all of your sales, hire, parts and servicing needs based out of Melbourne.

Michael Baumann

BRANCH MANAGER VIC

With over 30+ years of experience in the hammer industry, Michael knows a thing or two about hydraulic attachments. A fitter by trade, he believes in affordable and personalised hydraulic equipment sales and service.

In his private time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family on his rural property.

Paul Darmos

VIC Service Manager

Paul our Victorian Service Manager has a strong focus on service delivery and ensuring BA’s exceptional service standards are met.

Striving to understanding your needs, responding back with the right information quickly, Allocating workshop or field service resources to delivery market leading hammer and attachment service support.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time either up a mountain skiing or down the coast with his friends and family.

Thomas Phillips

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER VIC

Thomas Phillips, our Victorian Business Development Manager, is a dedicated professional with a keen eye for efficiency. His mechanical aptitude and passion for finding optimal solutions for our customers make him an invaluable asset to our team.

When he’s not striving to deliver sustainable solutions for our valued customers, you can find Thomas enjoying the great outdoors through activities like AFL, camping, 4WD, motocross, and fishing.

Rob Guerin GAICD

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Rob joined BA in 2010 (when we were known as Transmin) as our QLD branch manager, bringing his 15+ years’ experience gained from working in key roles within a global OEM specialising in mining and construction equipment supply and service.

Today with over 25 years’ experience, Rob’s focus is on supporting the team to help ensure BA continue to competitively deliver market leading hydraulic hammers and attachments that are backed by market leading service (field service, workshop repairs and spare parts availability/supply) to our valued customers and partners.

In addition Rob proactively works closely with our customers on larger projects and is in regular communication with our main OEM suppliers. When away from work Rob likes to spend time with his family and friends, get outdoors and have a round of golf or game of tennis.

Donavan Derman CPA GAICD

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

Donavan Derman is the Chief Financial Officer of BA Equipment. A part of the team since May 2021, Donavan has over 15 years of experience in various industries including external auditing, property development, financial services, asset management, OEM aftermarket services, and the public sector. He has held various financial positions, including previous CFO and Financial Director positions.

Donavan has a bachelor’s in accounting sciences, Postgraduate Honours bachelor’s in accounting sciences, Certified Professional Accountant, and a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors. Donavan brings considerable Accounting, Governance, Risk Management, and strategic planning experience.

Outside of work Donavan enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and playing golf.
