BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments, MTB Hydraulic hammers, Erkat Drum Cutters and GTS Rock Saws in Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria and Northern Territory. BAEG are the exclusive service and spare-parts agent for Transmin’s range of Boomer HD Rockbreaking boom systems in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.

The Role

As the Services Manager, you will be instrumental in coordinating all service and support activities for the branch. You will also play a crucial role in liaising with existing and new customers, sourcing and securing new service opportunities, both workshop-based and in the field. Additionally, you will support capital equipment, hire and spare parts sales efforts, collaborating with our WA Branch Manager and sales team to maximise customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Opportunity Generation: Identify and develop service opportunities to strengthen market share and secure sales for workshop and field service, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Team Management: Coordinate and manage all Service personnel to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational excellence.
  • Client Liaison: Engage with existing and potential clients to diagnose equipment issues, troubleshoot problems, and devise effective service solutions.
  • Sales and Proposals: Prepare and present competitive estimates, proposals, and quotes to clients. Follow up regularly to secure sales and gather relevant market information.
  • Order Processing: Manage client orders for service, ensuring high standards of customer service throughout the entire process. With support of the Branch Admin staff.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage purchase delivery schedules, prepare commissioning reports, and handle warranty claims.
  • Procedural Development: Develop and refine work procedures for workshop assembly, site repair, and installation tasks.

 ABOUT YOU

  • Trade background (e.g. mechanical or hydraulic fitter) or equivalent, preferably with mobile hydraulic mining/or civil construction equipment, or similar;
  • Proven success in a technical and mechanical service-related role, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Strong mechanical/hydraulic aptitude;
  • An established network within the mining, minerals processing, civil construction industries an advantage;
  • Proven customer relationship management skills;
  • Experience in staff supervision & performance management.
  • Computer literacy
  • Current C class (or equivalent) driver’s license.
