Business Development Manager, Victoria
Our BAEG Victorian Service Centre located in Somerton is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Sales Professional to proactively grow the market share for our Quality range of hydraulic hammers, attachments, and rock breaking boom systems.

BA Equipment Group (‘BAEG’) was established in 2012 (formerly part of Transmin which was established in 1987) and we operate from Service Centre locations in Victoria, Brisbane and Perth. Our mission is to deliver market leading service excellence across all aspects associated with the brands we represent and the products that we sell, service, supply parts for and hire. BAEG supplies a wide range of hydraulic hammers, demolition attachments and rockbreaking boom systems to customers in the civil construction, demolition, recycling, green energy, quarrying and mining industries.
BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments, MTB Hydraulic hammers, Erkat Drum Cutters and GTS Rock Saws in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Northern NSW, Northern Territory and PNG. BAEG are the exclusive service and spare-parts agent for Transmin’s range of Boomer HD rockbreaking boom systems in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
Sales growth of BA’s range of hydraulic attachments and rock breaking boom systems within quarrying, civil construction, demolition, recycling, green energy and mining industries
- Prospecting for new leads, qualifying those leads and developing new opportunities to grow BAEG’s market share
- Regularly plan, set appointments to carry out face to face meetings with existing and potential new customers to promote our range of products (the role will require travel throughout Victoria)
- Provide accurate information, quotations and technical information to our valued existing customers and potential new customers.
- Provide accurate and regular sales reports
- Work with the Victorian Branch Manager, with support from the National Sales Manager to develop and implement the Attachment Sales plan
- Maintain accurate customer records within the company CRM
- Participating at regular Industry association events
- Ensuring the BAEG sales processes and company policies are followed accurately at all times
About You
In order to excel in this role the successful candidate will ideally have/demonstrate:
- Excellent communication, conversational, organisational and negotiation skills
- Motivated, customer focussed, goal orientated, expressive, team player and active self-starter that is results driven.
- Proven track record in prospecting for new leads, qualifying leads, setting up customer meetings, effectively communicating the offering and achieving sales results within the quarrying, civil construction and associated industries in Victoria.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft office programs, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DAS.
- Current drivers’ licence.
