Our BAEG Queensland Service Centre located in Acacia Ridge is currently seeking an experienced Business Development and Sales Professional to proactively grow the market share for our Quality range of hydraulic hammers, attachments and rock-breaking boom systems.

BA Equipment Group (‘BAEG’) was established in 2012 (formerly part of Transmin which was established in 1987). Our mission is to provide outstanding customer service for our premium range of hydraulic hammers, demolition attachments and rockbreaking boom systems to customers in the civil construction, demolition, quarrying and mining industries. Today, at our Service Centres in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth, BAEG’s highly motivated staff maintain first-class sales, service, spare parts and hire support.

BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments, MTB Hydraulic hammers, Erkat Drum Cutters and GTS Rock Saws in Queensland, Victoria, Northern Territory and Western Australia. BAEG are the exclusive service and spare-parts agent for Transmin’s range of Boomer HD rockbreaking boom systems in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Sales growth of BA’s range of hydraulic attachments and rock breaking boom systems within mining, quarrying and civil construction industries
  • Regularly plan, set appointments to carry out face to face meetings with existing and potential new customers within the mining, quarrying and civil construction industries to promote our range of products (the role will require travel throughout QLD/NT/PNG
  • Provide accurate information, quotations and technical information to our valued existing customers and potential new customers.
  • Provide accurate and regular sales reports
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to develop and implement the Sales plan
  • Maintain accurate customer records within the company CRM
  • Participating at regular Industry association events
  • Ensuring BA’s sales processes are followed accurately at all times

About You

In order to excel in this role the successful candidate will ideally have/demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills
  • Proven sales experience in the mining and quarrying industries
  • Motivated self-starter that is results driven
  • Proven track record in setting up customer meetings, effectively communicating the offering and achieving results within the mining, quarrying and civil construction industries in QLD/NT/PNG
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft office programs, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DAS
  • Current drivers’ licence
